Studio Music Teacher

1994-Current

I have been a studio music teacher for piano, vocal, organ and theory for the last 26 years. My students have ranged from 4 to 70 years of age and my classes are a variety of individual, small groups to large workshops. I have had many interactions with students who have behavioural and intellectual needs and have always sought to modify my programs in order to suit students abilities. I have enjoyed success on many platforms including eisteddfods, competitions, AMEB and ANZCA examination preparation, workshops, performances and concerts. I have taught programs for Piano, Organ, Voice, Early Childhood Music, Theory, Music and Movement, Performing Artist Workshops and Choirs.

Musician

2015-Current

I perform on a regular basis as part of an acoustic duo OneWord and as part of the contemporary violin, cello and piano trio, Happiness Is. I enjoy the diversity of the genres and live performances and have extensive experience performing at clubs, race days, weddings, festivals and events.

Accompanist

1999-Current

I have a deep love for accompaniment work and frequently accompany soloists, ensembles and choirs. I was Répétiteur for numerous local productions from 2017-2020 including Wicked, Mamma Mia and Les Miserables. I also act as an official accompanist for the annual Bundaberg Eisteddfod and enjoy the diversity that this position brings. I am fortunate to have been an accompanist for: Rachael Beck, John English, Normie Rowe, Suellen Cusack, Elizabeth Evans (Mixology), Glaston Toft (Jersey Boys) and Ian Stenlake.

Music Director

2016-Current

I have enjoyed my role as Musical Director for the Youth Theatre program and am charged with leading 60 youths aged 12-17, in annual productions which include: Mulan Jr, The Little Mermaid and Legally Blonde Jr. Unfortunately the 2020 show was cancelled, but Youth Theatre and I will return in 2021 with another exciting production.
